A Green-Living Product
Since the CentralPURE H2O CP-1000 Premium Central Water Purification System is capable of producing bottled-water quality water, you can refill your own bottles and take your water with you to work, school, on your daily workout, or wherever you go. You'll be instrumental in reducing the amount of plastic waste from repeatedly buying bottled-water, not to mention the energy savings from what is required to produce and distribute those bottles to the consumer.
The CP-1000 requires no electricity to operate, and since it is a backwash-free system it does not produce any waste water. Your water is filtered on-demand and the supply is immediate. The main tank assembly also includes a bypass valve so you can easily revert to untreated water to preserve the media, such as for washing your car or watering plants outdoors.
Making it even "greener" the CP-1000 utilizes coconut shell Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) in its micro-filtration stage. The coconut tree produces coconuts three times a year, making this a highly renewable resource. In addition, this premium media is manufactured in kilns instead of the traditional pit-charring which emits large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Capturing the carbon dioxide in the kiln reduces these emissions up to 90% from traditional methods.
Filtration Stages The special blend of media work synergistically to attack and capture a full array of contaminates that may be present in your drinking water. The large volume and proper balance of each media account for overall water filtering effectiveness in a large range of applications. Each media type is certified by NSF for its performance and safety.
STAGE 1 - Ultrafine Sediment & Particulate Removal A replaceable polypropylene cartridge that mechanically filters sediment and particulate matter (turbidity), as well as copepods, oocysts and cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. This high-quality filter cartridge begins by filtering out sediment down to 25-microns in size, decreasing through 4 stages to 1-micron. (To put this into perspective, a grain of salt is about 60 microns.) This essential first stage provides basic health protection and prevents sediment and particulate matter from clogging the main purification tank, maintaining water flow and long filter life.
STAGE 2 - Catalytic Oxidation-Reduction
This stage utilizes patented and NSF certified granular KDF media that utilizes a catalytic reaction to remove or significantly reduce water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals from municipal or other water supplies. This special blend of zinc and copper is formulated to also remove iron and hydrogen sulfide from your water supply. In addition, the KDF media plays an important role to control microorganisms, fighting the formation of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale within the system.
STAGE 3 - Heavy Metals & Inorganic Adsorption The third stage utilizes a proprietary NSF certified media formulated of carbon and hydroxyapatite. The high volume and unique qualities of this media provide for the unsurpassed capability to remove heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum and many others. It will also reduce the occurrence of other inorganic contaminants such as arsenic, asbestos, fluorine and cyanide, trace levels of greasy substances, petroleum products, metabolized bacteria, as well as solvents such as those used in dry-cleaning or to manage oil spills. Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring form of calcium apatite, and has been successfully used in microcrystalline form as a calcium supplement.
STAGE 4 - Organics Adsorption The fourth stage employs the use of an NSF certified granular activated carbon (GAC) made from pyrolysed coal. The porous structure of this premium grade media is characterized by its rough surface and high adsorption capacity. The high volume of mesopores (2 - 50 nm) and macropores (> 50 nm) in this media account for its superior capability to remove a variety of organic compounds, especially nitrates from fertilizers and chlorinated organic substances like chloramines and trihalomethanes (THMs).
STAGE 5 - Organics Adsorption & Taste EnhancementThis final stage accounts for further adsorption of organic contaminates and provides the final touches to give purity and premium taste to your water. Made from a highly renewable resource, this NSF certified granular activated carbon (GAC) from coconut shell has a very high volume of micropores (< 2 nm). This property gives it the highest capacity of all medias to adsorb small molecules such volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and synthetic organic chemicals (SOCs). The high concentration of micropores coupled with the high volume of this media accounts for advanced performance, effectiveness and long life. Our premium coconut shell GAC has a high hardness, high surface area, low dust and low ash (impurity) content. Having a different composition than the pyrolysed coal GAC, stages 4 & 5 complement one another to target hundreds of organic contaminates.

Revolutionary Media~Swirl Technology
Besides employing a synergistic blend of the best medias from the best sources in the world, this 5-stage mechanical filtration system utilizes the latest, most innovative and most efficient water distribution system.
The unique design of the Media~Swirl water distribution system evenly distributes the water in flow and swirls the water/media mixture for optimal system performance. The resulting effect prevents water channeling, optimizes flow to maintain system water pressure, and allows the media to perform at its best.
The CP-1000 utilizes two Media~Swirl distributors to contain complementing medias together, and to maintain optimal water-media interaction throughout the system. The resulting influence is similar to the most optimal purification methods performed by nature itself.
System Specifications and Performance The CentralPURE H2O CP-1000 is designed to purify water from municipal (city) or well-water sources. When operated within the specification and performance parameters listed, the CP-1000 can provide years of satisfactory service. Please note that significant water hardness issues should be addressed separately to prevent scale formation within the system. Although somewhat effective at low levels, significant iron and/or hydrogen sulfide issues should be treated by a system dedicated to those problem contaminants. Similarly, arsenic and fluoride removal should be addressed separately. The CP-1000 should only be used on water sources deemed safe by your local municipality or health department.
